Bhawanipatna(Swaraj Agrawal) : On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, Saraswati Nursing College, Bhawanipatna, organised a community health awareness programme in Kantabanji Village. During the programme, students of the college created awareness among villagers, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and school students about the importance of breastfeeding and various aspects of maternal and child health. Through role plays and informative awareness sessions, participants were educated on the benefits of breastfeeding and its vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of both mother and child.The programme witnessed the participation of the Headmaster, teachers, ANMs, Anganwadi workers, and nearly 200–250 villagers, whose active involvement contributed to the success of the event. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Chairman Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Panigrahi, with the dedicated support of Devapriya Dash, Lilesh Sahu, Uttam Sahu, Bindiya Rajguru, Keshab Hial, Tushar Tandi, Kalyani Sahu, Payal Suna, and Jyotirmayee Bagh.The initiative has been widely appreciated as a significant effort by Saraswati Nursing College to promote health awareness in rural areas and demonstrate its commitment to community service.
